Southwest Airlines Air Cargo - Fish are shipped out of New Orleans (MSY) to any airport with SW connections in the lower 48 States.  Very inexpensive shipping, but fish must be picked up at the airport and arrival time cannot be guaranteed.  Most shipments can go "collect", meaning the customer pays for the freight when fish are picked up.  Live delivery guaranteed for shipments that are picked up within 2 hours of arrival time.  Customers requesting this service must be flexible with their schedule.  In most cases, the fish are in transit only one day. A 35# box runs about $62 and can hold about 24 tropheus- sized fish.  Additional boxes cost about $15-$20 ea.

Delta Airlines Air Cargo/DASH - Air cargo shipments are sent out of New Orleans (MSY).  If SW doesn't serve an area, we can usually get shipments in by Delta, including Hawaii.  Cargo shipments are sent freight collect and run higher than SW.  Single box shipments can go Delta DASH out of Gulfport (GPT), our local airport.  DASH is limited to one box, and must be prepaid.  This service runs approx. $115 per 35# box.  We can send fish via DASH most any day of the week.

We strongly encourage use of Next Day Air or Next Day Air Saver as the packages are handled as top priority and can be shipped in most weather conditions.  We offer a live arrival guarantee with either of these methods. (See Guarantee section for more information).   2nd day and/or Ground can be used in certain weather conditions (no extreme heat or cold at departure and/or arrival point); however, there is no live arrival guarantee with either of these methods.  Shipping via the US Postal service is available, but customers should be aware that package tracking is difficult with the PO and even guaranteed overnight service (Express Mail) commitments are often actually 2-day deliveries.  Priority is not recommended but is available.

 

Fish are doubled bagged with oxygen and a water conditioner and packed in an insulated box.  Heat/cool packs are used as needed.  

 

We can get 6-8 juvenile fish (approx. 1") per bag.  We do not mix different species in the same bag.  Each bag weighs approximately 2.5 pounds.  If we are shipping via 2nd day, Ground, USPS Express, or Priority, we only pack 3-4 fish per bag.

 

We use boxes designed to UPS/Fed Ex specifications which ensures that there is not an extra charge due to oversized dimensions.  The boxes we are currently using are sized as follows and will accomodate up to the number of bags shown:

 

12x9x6 will hold up to 2 bags

15x11x7 will hold up to 3 bags

12x12x10 or 12x12x12 will hold up to 6 bags

 

Shipping for juvenile fish can be estimated by clicking on the UPS/Fed Ex or USPS website links below.  For UPS/Fed Ex shipments, all fish are shipped from Saucier, Mississippi 39574 and dropped off at the local UPS station.  You provide the ship to City and ZIP and indicate if the location is a residential or business address.  You will also put in the box size (from the information above)  and weight (use 2.5 multiplied by the number of bags of fish to be shipped).   You will be shown quotes for the shipping methods listed above. Depending on the type of service used, the package may be eligible for a discount, which we can discuss with you.

 

For USPS shipments, all fish are shipped from Gulfport PO 39503.  You provide the ship to City and ZIP and put in the box weight (2.5 multiplied by the number of bags of fish). 

 

Shipping for multiple bags of fish is more cost effective than shipping just one bag.  Usually the extra bags only add a few dollars to the overall shipping costs.  If you are having difficulty in estimating shipping costs for an order, please contact us.  Please contact us for a quote for shipping fish that are sub-adult or adult size.

 

Juvenile reptiles are shipped via UPS or Fed Ex Next Day Air (usually delivered by 10:30 am) for a flat rate of $50.  We can usually ship 1-3 animals for this rate.  All reptiles are shipped in an insulated box with a heat/cool pack as needed.  Please contact us for a quote for larger orders.

 

 

Dry goods will be shipped using the most economical method, usually UPS Ground or USPS Priority.  If expedited shipping is required, please contact us for a quote. 

 

 

We welcome local pick up at our Saucier location for fish or reptiles BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.   Our facility is set up for the breeding and holding of fish and reptiles.  We are not a retail store, and do not have customer visiting hours.   Due to our work schedules and responsibilities of the maintenance and upkeep of our stock, we only allow pickups for pre-ordered fish/reptiles.

 

We guarantee live arrival of all fish orders that are shipped via Air Cargo, UPS/Fed Ex Next Day delivery, or USPS Express (and the package is delivered the next day), as long as the package is accepted on the first delivery attempt and we are notified via email, with a digital pic of DOAs in the unopened bag(s), within 2 hours of delivery.

 

We DO NOT guarantee live delivery of fish shipped via UPS 2nd day or UPS Ground; USPS Express that is not delivered the next day, or USPS Priority.  

 

We can ship to a residence or business. We reserve the right to hold shipments if it is determined that weather conditions are too extreme for timely and safe delivery.  In the event that it is necessary to hold a shipment, we will coordinate a new delivery date.

 

If DOAs are received, and we are notified as described above, we will provide credit on a future order.  No refunds.

 

 

We guarantee live arrival of all reptiles as long as the package is accepted on the first delivery attempt and we are notified via email, of any DOA, with a digital pic of the dead specimen, within 2 hours of delivery.  In addition, if we are guaranteeing the sex of any reptile, the buyer must notify us within 24 hours if there is a claim of improper sex determination on our part.

 

We guarantee live arrival of all fish orders that are shipped via UPS Next Day Air, UPS Next Day Air Saver, or USPS Express (and the package is delivered the next day), as long as the package is accepted on the first delivery attempt and we are notified via email, with a digital pic of DOAs in the unopened bag(s), within 2 hours of delivery.

We will coordinate a convenient delivery date on all orders and can ship to a residence or business. We reserve the right to hold shipments if it is determined that weather conditions are too extreme for timely and safe delivery.  In the event that it is necessary to hold a shipment, we will coordinate a new delivery date.

 

If DOAs are received, and we are notified as described above, we will provide credit on a future order that will include the cost of the DOAs and the shipping costs prorated for the DOAs.  Customers paying via Paypal have the option of a credit or a refund to their Paypal account.

 

 

We guarantee live arrival of all reptiles as long as the package is accepted on the first delivery attempt and we are notified via email, of any DOA, with a digital pic of the dead specimen, within 2 hours of delivery.  In addition, if we are guaranteeing the sex of any reptile, the buyer must notify us within 24 hours if there is a claim of improper sex determination on our part.

 

 

We accept orders via email and phone.  Once an order is placed the fish or reptile will be reserved and held for five (5) days.  If payment is not received within the 5 day time frame, the reservation will be removed unless other arrangements have been made. ALL SALES FINAL.

 

We prefer payment to be made to our Paypal account.  We will accept eChecks (must clear before shipping) and Credit Cards through Paypal.  If you wish to pay via Paypal, please send your order via email and we will send you a convenient Paypal invoice that you can pay from.

 

Other forms of payment accepted are Money Orders, Bank Checks, Personal Checks (must clear bank before shipping), or Cash for local pickups.
